CCIP 2.0 Secures $84B in Cross-Chain Value, Targets $600T On-Chain Finance
Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 has gone live, aiming to become the infrastructure for on-chain finance by securing cross-chain value worth $84 billion.
The new system addresses interoperability issues that have led to over $3.3 billion in losses due to exploited legacy bridges or lengthy custom engineering processes.
CCIP 2.0 introduces institutional risk controls through Cross-Chain Verifiers (CCVs) deployed within Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, as well as verification from enterprise operators like Infosys and Nethermind.
The system also gives asset issuers more control over settlement with faster execution paths for high-frequency transfers and time-delayed approvals for high-value transactions that require full finality.
