CEA Industries Surges on Four.meme's Launch of 4Stock Product
CEA Industries, the Nasdaq-listed company behind the BNB Chain token pegged to its stock, saw an 80% pre-market surge on September 8. The jump was linked to the launch of Four.meme's 4Stock product, which introduced BNC4 as its first token. This new product is a 'pre-bStock' tokenized stock that tracks real shares and issues tokens against them.
The BNC4 token is backed one-to-one by CEA Industries' Nasdaq-listed BNC stock, with a market value near $143.7 million. The launch of 4Stock saw over $2 million in mint requests within hours, demonstrating strong demand for BNC4.
Four.meme's 4Stock model involves a three-step process: users send USDC to a deposit wallet, submit the transaction hash through a mint form, and then wait up to 24 hours while the shares are bought at market price. A 1% mint fee applies to deposits, with requests currently at a minimum of 10,000 USDC equivalent.
The divergent prices between BNC4 and BNC stock have drawn attention, with BNC4's market capitalization falling below $5 million in just five minutes. The disparity can be attributed to the thin float of BNC4 compared to CEA Industries' market cap near $130 million.
