Celo Expands Stablecoin Support with USA₮ Addition

Celo has expanded its x402 facilitator to support USA₮, a dollar-backed stablecoin from Anchorage and backed by Tether. This move strengthens Celo's agentic payments and accelerates stablecoin integration on the platform.

USA₮ joins USD₮, Ripio's $wARS, $wBRL, and $wCOP in the lineup of supported stablecoins. The addition of USA₮ is expected to unlock agentic payments on the Celo blockchain.

Celo's x402 facilitator allows for automated transactions between users, making it easier to send and receive payments. This feature is particularly useful for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and non-fungible token (NFT) marketplaces.
