The bankruptcy estate of crypto lender Celsius has filed a lawsuit against BitMEX, alleging improper liquidation and price manipulation during the 2020 market crash.

The complaint, filed by the Blockchain Recovery Investment Consortium on behalf of the Celsius estate, claims that BitMEX improperly liquidated approximately 1,326 Bitcoin from Celsius positions in March 2020.

Additionally, investment fund JST's position was allegedly liquidated the following day, resulting in an additional loss of around 5,034 Bitcoin. The related claims were later assigned to the estate.

The Celsius estate is seeking the return of approximately 6,360 Bitcoin, as well as punitive damages and unjust enrichment.
