Centrifuge Tokenizes $689.9M Janus Henderson CLO Fund on Eight Blockchains
Centrifuge has successfully tokenized the Janus Henderson Anemoy AAA CLO Fund, bringing one of traditional finance's safest asset classes onto the blockchain. The fund now holds approximately $689.9 million in assets under management across eight different networks, including Ethereum, Solana, and Avalanche.
The portfolio contains 36 AAA-rated collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), all managed by Janus Henderson. These CLOs are bundles of corporate loans sliced into tranches by risk level, with the AAA tranche sitting at the top of the stack and absorbing losses last. Remarkably, no AAA-rated CLO tranche has ever defaulted or suffered a principal loss in over 30 years.
The tokenized fund was launched in June 2025, seeded with a $1 billion investment from the Sky Ecosystem through Grove. The structure involves three key players: Janus Henderson as sub-advisor, Anemoy as the fund vehicle, and Centrifuge providing the tokenization technology and on-chain infrastructure.
The appeal of AAA-rated CLO tranches lies in their remarkable track record, with zero defaults in over three decades. This makes them an attractive option for institutional investors who want on-chain exposure without taking on excessive risk.
