CertiK Partners with Kyrgyzstan's Central Bank to Develop Secure CBDC
CertiK and the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic (NBKR) have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development and security of the country's central bank digital currency (CBDC), known as Digital Som. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was announced by CertiK on September 14.
The MOU covers cooperation in areas such as CBDC safety, digital asset regulation, and cybersecurity. CertiK will provide technical support and strategic guidance to NBKR in these areas. The two parties also plan to work together on the development of a monitoring system for financial institutions.
NBKR hosted a workshop on September 9 for commercial bank officials to discuss the safety and security of digital assets, including CBDCs. CertiK representatives attended the workshop. Topics discussed included cybersecurity, risk management, and regulation in the cryptocurrency space.
