CFTC Appoints Harry Jung as Crypto Engagement Chief
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has appointed Harry Jung as its Acting Chief of Staff for crypto engagement. This role is tasked with leading the agency's efforts in digital assets.
Jung previously worked at Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, focusing on regulatory engagement related to digital assets. He joined the CFTC in 2023 as a Counselor and Senior Policy Advisor.
This change comes as President Trump appointed Caroline Pham as the CFTC's Acting Chair. Pham has emphasized the importance of fostering well-functioning markets that support economic growth, stating her intent to engage with stakeholders to achieve this goal.
