CFTC Puts Spotlight on Crypto Regulation Amid Clarity Act Delay

Share

The United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is holding a meeting of its Innovation Advisory Committee to discuss crypto, AI, and prediction market regulations. The meeting will take place on August 20 and will cover various topics related to crypto regulation.

CFTC Chair Michael Selig released the agenda for the meeting, stating that he is keen to meet entrepreneurs, thinkers, and builders to discuss emerging technologies and financial products shaping the market.

The CLARITY Act, which aims to provide clarity on crypto regulations, has been delayed. The CFTC's announcement comes shortly after the SEC announced a meeting to discuss new crypto-related rules, but it was cancelled due to unforeseen scheduling issues.
