Chainlink and Hyperliquid Soar as Institutional Partnerships Ignite Tokenization Frenzy
Chainlink (CRYPTO: LINK) and Hyperliquid are making headlines this week after significant price surges. Chainlink's LINK token has surged 5.17% on Friday, while Hyperliquid has held near record highs.
The surge in Chainlink is attributed to a major institutional partnership with Infosys, a $40 billion global IT firm that supports banking infrastructure for over 1.7 billion customer accounts worldwide. The partnership aims to accelerate institutional on-chain finance through Chainlink's platform stack, including Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), and more.
Andrew McCormick, Head of Institutional at Chainlink, believes that tokenization has the potential to move the market from $3 billion to $1.5 trillion with just 1% tokenization of equities. He cites the close work between Chainlink and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) on a collateral app chain using Chainlink's runtime environment for margin and loan purposes.
Binance has also listed Hyperliquid, opening spot trading pairs HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY. The listing has sparked interest in the token, with prices holding near record highs.
