Chainlink Brings Tokenized Stocks to Base DeFi as Collateral
Chainlink has partnered with Coinbase to enable tokenized stocks on Base to serve as collateral for DeFi protocols.
The integration allows lending protocols to accept supported stocks as collateral, while decentralized exchanges and structured products can use Chainlink's pricing infrastructure.
Coinbase issues its Tokenized Stocks as B20 tokens on Base, with each token representing exposure to an underlying publicly traded U.S. equity.
Chainlink provides the pricing data that DeFi applications require to value and manage those assets as collateral, enabling holders to access liquidity without immediately selling the asset.
