Chainlink CCIP 2.0 Brings Optional Cross-Chain Verifiers
Chainlink's CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) has been upgraded to version 2.0, introducing optional Cross-Chain Verifiers and configurable transfer controls.
The update allows institutions and digital asset issuers to operate their own verifiers alongside Chainlink's default verification system, providing an additional layer of security for cross-chain transactions.
CCIP 2.0 also includes new features such as configurable confirmation thresholds, modular fee components, and customizable execution options.
The update is designed to give users more control over how transfers are verified, confirmed, and complied with, while retaining the default security configuration.
