Chainlink Co-Founder Sergey Nazarov Talks Decentralized Oracles and Fintech Regulation

Sergey Nazarov is the co-founder of Chainlink, the decentralized oracle network that supplies outside data to blockchains. Born in 1986 in the Soviet Union, he moved to the United States with his engineer parents in the early 1990s and earned a philosophy and management degree from New York University in 2007.

Nazarov's recent public work has taken place at banking and policy events. He is scheduled to speak at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia's 10th Annual Fintech Conference, alongside executives from BlackRock, Vanguard, and SharpLink.

Chainlink was born out of SmartContract.com, which partnered with Cornell Tech professor Ari Juels to design a decentralized oracle network. The project introduced Chainlink in 2017 with a white paper co-authored by Nazarov, Steve Ellis, and Juels.
