Chainlink Could Soar 24-Fold as Tokenized Assets Hit $4 Trillion
Standard Chartered's global head of digital asset research, Geoff Kendrick, expects tokenized real-world assets to reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028. Chainlink (LINK) could be a major beneficiary of this growth, with LINK potentially rising to $200 by the end of 2030.
This forecast is based on the idea that as more securities move onto blockchain networks, Chainlink's decentralized oracle networks will become essential for providing external data such as prices and interest rates. Chainlink already secures over $34.3 billion across more than 500 protocols, compared to around $7.3 billion for Chronicle, the second-largest oracle provider by value secured.
The bank also expects tokenized real-world assets and crypto-native assets used in decentralized finance (DeFi) to reach $2.7 trillion by the end of 2030. However, the forecast relies on aggressive assumptions about institutional adoption and growth in tokenization.
