Chainlink Hits New High on Strong Trading and Institutional Adoption
Chainlink has reached a new high of $14.89 this year, exceeding its June lows below $7. This increase is attributed to strong trading activity and the recent release of Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 protocol upgrade.
The upgrade introduced several features aimed at institutional investors, including Cross-Chain Verifiers and customizable settlement speeds. However, Santiment's data shows that the number of non-empty LINK wallets has started to fall, indicating that some smaller holders are taking advantage of the recent run to cash out.
Despite this trend, Chainlink's network data shows that CCIP has already processed over $24.1 billion in cumulative transfer volume, giving the new version an existing base of real usage. Additionally, Chainlink has been selected by Coinbase as the official oracle infrastructure for its tokenized stocks and has partnered with the Wyoming Stable Token Commission.
