Chainlink-Infosys Partnership Falls Flat as LINK Token Fails to React
Chainlink has announced a partnership with Infosys Finacle, a digital banking platform that manages over 1.7 billion financial accounts worldwide.
The deal aims to integrate Chainlink's services and runtime environment within Infosys Finacle's Digital Assets platform, enabling banks to connect blockchain-based assets with traditional banking systems.
However, the announcement does not mention any specific bank that will deploy the technology nor establish a concrete implementation timeline.
This raises questions about the actual impact of the deal on Chainlink's token, LINK. Despite the potential scope of the agreement, new on-chain addresses showed no significant uptick, and LINK fell close to 1% on the day of the announcement.
Chainlink's Payment Abstraction system allows fees to be paid in fiat or stablecoins, reducing direct demand for the LINK token.
