Chainlink Opens CCIP 2.0 to Institutions with Configurable Speed
Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) version 2.0 is now available to institutions and digital asset issuers, offering an optional faster-than-finality execution path for supported Ethereum-linked transfers.
The upgrade, built in collaboration with Ethlabs around Ethereum's upcoming Fast Confirmation Rule, allows issuers to set confirmation rules based on transaction value and risk tolerance, enabling cross-chain payments and high-frequency stablecoin flows to move almost in real-time.
Chainlink's documentation highlights the benefits of CCIP 2.0, citing its ability to secure more than $84 billion in total cross-chain token value and over $15 billion in transferred value over the past four months.
