Chainlink Powers Open Standard's OUSD Stablecoin with Real-Time Price Data
Chainlink has been chosen as the official data oracle for Open Standard's OUSD stablecoin, which has launched across four blockchains for payments and decentralized finance applications. OUSD went live on Ethereum, Base, Solana, and Tempo, with more than $1 billion in near-term liquidity commitments from its five founding partners: Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe, and Visa.
Chainlink said its data feeds will provide pricing infrastructure for OUSD-based applications, including lending markets, decentralized exchanges, derivatives, and yield products. Oracle feeds can supply blockchain applications with external market data needed for functions such as collateral valuation, liquidations, and settlement.
The Chainlink integration is intended to provide data infrastructure for OUSD-based onchain financial applications. Chainlink Data Feeds can provide reference prices for lending and borrowing markets and support pricing, margin, and settlement functions for applications that integrate the feeds.
