Chainlink Price Predicted to Hit $200 as Standard Chartered Sees Tokenization Boom
Standard Chartered predicts a significant increase in Chainlink's native token price to $200 by the end of 2030, representing a roughly 25-fold gain from its current value. The bank initiated coverage of Chainlink on Monday and cited it as critical infrastructure for mass tokenization of real-world assets.
The bank expects the value of tokenized assets on-chain to reach $4 trillion by the end of 2028, up from around $340 billion today, with a significant portion driven by data-hungry assets that rely on oracles like Chainlink. The total value secured by Chainlink stands above $110 billion, spanning roughly 70% of oracle-dependent value across DeFi globally and more than 80% on Ethereum.
Standard Chartered also expects Chainlink's fee generation to scale about 25 times between now and the end of 2030, split across its oracle business and cross-chain interoperability lines. The bank highlighted the importance of institutional adoption, with institutions such as Swift, DTCC, Euroclear, JPMorgan, Mastercard, UBS, Fidelity, and S&P Global already using Chainlink's services.
