Chainlink Price Rebounds as Some Small Investors Take Profits
Chainlink ($LINK) has seen a significant rebound in its price, reaching $14.89 after falling below $7 in June. Despite this increase, data from on-chain analytics platform Santiment shows that the number of Chainlink wallets with balances above zero has dropped to 912,020.
Santiment analysts interpret this decrease as evidence that some small investors used the recent price rise for profit-taking. However, they note that this is not necessarily a negative indicator, as it could also mean that stronger investors are buying into $LINK.
The total investor base for Chainlink is near its all-time highs after steady growth throughout 2026. Additionally, the project has made significant developments in its technical infrastructure, including the release of CCIP 2.0, which provides applications with greater control over cross-chain security mechanisms.
