Chainlink Price Stuck in Standoff Between Buyers and Sellers

Chainlink (LINK) price has been stuck in a tense standoff between buyers defending its reclaim and sellers testing whether it was real. The cryptocurrency pulled off a move that traders had been waiting weeks to see, but the follow-through stalled right where it mattered most.

The trendline break itself is not the whole story here, since LINK's retest attempt failed to close through resistance and instead left a wick. This kind of rejection often means buyers still need to prove themselves.

A close above $8.455 on the 4-hour chart would open the door to $8.999, but a breakdown scenario confirms with a close below the $7.896 to $7.793 demand zone. Longs have taken the bulk of liquidations across every window from 1h through 24h.

Fresh reserve buying data adds a fundamental angle to this Chainlink price prediction, separate from the chart setup. On-chain tracker MSB Intel reported that the Chainlink Reserve has surpassed 5.2 million $LINK after adding 706,809 tokens worth over $5.7 million during July.
