Chainlink Price Stuck in the Middle
Chainlink's price has been stagnant at $14.23 as of October 1st, down just over half a percent in 24 hours and sitting directly beneath its short-term SMA-7 at $14.39.
This post-rally compression is seen as a structural recovery from the $9.50 zone, where its 200-day moving average currently sits. The question now isn't whether the macro trend is intact, but rather whether buyers have the conviction to push through a dense resistance cluster or if an overcrowded long trade needs to be painfully cleared before the next real leg higher.
The technical picture for LINK is at a fork, with price sitting above the 7, 20, 50, and 200-day simple moving averages simultaneously. However, the MACD histogram has zeroed out, indicating that momentum has stalled completely.
Smart money sits 69% net long, but open interest has dropped 2.12% in the past 24 hours to $141.2 million, which is a textbook deleveraging move rather than capitulation.
