Chainlink Price Surges as Adoption and Supply Trends Align

The Chainlink token has been showing signs of growth, thanks to its increasing adoption in crypto and DeFi data markets. In July, the price was around $7.20, but by late August, it had risen to $12.40.

This uptrend is also supported by a 50/200-day EMA golden cross, which is a bullish technical signal. The token's price could potentially move towards $18 if demand continues to grow.

A key development that has contributed to Chainlink's growth is its integration with the U.S. Department of Commerce. The department will be using Chainlink's network to deliver Real GDP and PCE data on-chain, which adds another use case for the token beyond crypto-native markets.

The supply picture also looks promising, as exchange-held LINK supply has decreased from 132 million to 112 million over three months, while off-exchange supply has risen from 870 million to 890 million. This could indicate that investors are holding onto their tokens and not selling them on exchanges.
