Chainlink Price Surges on US Govt Data On-Chain Integration
Chainlink (LINK) has seen a surge in price following news that the U.S. Department of Commerce is now bringing official economic data on-chain through Chainlink, live across 10 different blockchains.
This integration allows blockchain applications to access real government economic data as soon as it's released, rather than relying on delayed, centralized sources.
According to analyst Michaël van de Poppe, this is 'massive news' for LINK. However, he also notes that near-term price action will likely still be driven by technical levels on the chart.
The current price of LINK is around $11.23, up 0.2% in the last 24 hours, with a market cap of approximately $8.402 billion and a circulating supply of 748.1 million tokens.
