Chainlink Reserve Tops 6 Million Tokens as Price Surges Past $15
The Chainlink Reserve has reached a significant milestone, surpassing 6 million LINK tokens. As of September 26, 2026, the reserve holds 6,047,498 LINK, with an additional 373,791 tokens added in September alone. This influx of new tokens is a result of Payment Abstraction, a mechanism that collects payments in any token and converts them into LINK, which are then deposited into the treasury.
The price of Chainlink has risen sharply, reaching $15.56 on September 29, 2026, a 10.6% increase from the previous day's close. This price surge is attributed to various corporate news announcements, including the inclusion of Chainlink in a banking standard from Infosys.
The Chainlink Reserve's growth is a sign that the network is generating revenue regularly, not just in isolated cases. The reserve now accounts for approximately 0.8% of the total circulating supply, which stands at around 748 million LINK out of a total of 1 billion tokens that will ever exist.
