Chainlink Surges 14% as Institutional Developments Gain Traction
Chainlink's LINK token has seen significant gains over the past seven days, climbing from $12.13 to a high of $15.42 before pulling back to around $15. This surge in price has pushed Chainlink's market capitalization to approximately $11.06 billion and its 24-hour trading volume to $1.23 billion.
The rally comes on the heels of several key developments, including the launch of CCIP 2.0 at Sibos 2026. This new upgrade gives financial institutions more control over cross-chain transactions by allowing them to add independent transaction checkers and decide how quickly transfers should occur.
Additionally, Chainlink is working on connecting with Swift's blockchain ledger and powering DTCC's Collateral AppChain, which enables 24-hour collateral management for financial institutions. These developments have contributed to the increased interest in LINK, with ETF inflows adding to the momentum.
