Chainlink Surges to Seven-Month High Amid Strong DeFi and Institutional Demand
Chainlink's price has surged to a seven-month high, driven by strong demand from both decentralized finance (DeFi) and institutional investors. According to recent data, DeFi protocols have seen increased user deposits, with many integrating Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol for price feeds.
The broader cryptocurrency market is also showing signs of recovery, with Bitcoin climbing above $77,000 and the Total Value Locked (TVL) in DeFi protocols rising to $84.76 billion. This increase in TVL reflects increased activity in the DeFi market.
Chainlink's technical outlook appears bullish, with a potential 10% upside amid firm buying pressure. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) is currently in overbought territory, suggesting that the rally may face headwinds near the 78.6% Fibonacci retracement at $12.74.
Institutional investors are increasing their exposure to crypto assets following the US Treasury liquidity boost, which has led to a significant increase in inflows for Chainlink Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). The weekly inflows have risen to $8.19 million so far, likely to be the second-highest since inception.
