Chainlink, Swift Automate Tokenized Stock Dividends Across Four Blockchains
Chainlink has expanded its partnership with the Swift banking cooperative to automate tokenized stock dividend distributions across multiple blockchain networks.
The collaboration, part of the Swift Business Challenge 2026, aims to synchronize dividend distributions across four distinct blockchain networks using the ISO 20022 financial messaging standard.
The technical architecture pairs Swift's proprietary ISO 20022 messaging standard with the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE), allowing paying agents to coordinate corporate actions without manual intervention.
The system resolves balance synchronization by consolidating distributed holdings into a unified canonical ledger record, preventing double-counting of shares in transit between chains.
The modular architecture is designed to handle various corporate actions, including stock splits, debt coupon distributions, rights offerings, and mandatory capital redemptions.
Chainlink's technical engineering team and Swift plan to evaluate pilot results during upcoming international financial forums and working groups before advancing toward commercial production deployments.
