Chainlink Token Surges 12% as CCIP 2.0 Protocol Upgrade Takes Effect
Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 protocol upgrade has sent its token price soaring to a new high, outperforming major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The LINK token rose by almost 12% in just 24 hours, taking it above its January peak and pushing its year-to-date gain to 26%. This strong performance marks a sharp reversal from the token's June low, when it was down by about 41%.
Chainlink attributes its success to the launch of CCIP 2.0, which enables institutional-grade cross-chain transfers and provides a framework for embedding always-on policy controls, including know-your-customer (KYC) and anti-money-laundering (AML) checks.
