Chainlink Unveils CCIP 2.0 at Sibos 2026, Targeting Institutional Blockchain Adoption

Chainlink has rolled out its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0 at Sibos 2026 in Miami, aiming to make institutional blockchain adoption more accessible and efficient.

The upgrade introduces two key features: Cross-Chain Verifiers, which add an extra layer of validation for assets moving between blockchains; and faster-than-finality transfers, allowing institutions to receive assets on the destination chain before full finality is achieved on the source chain.

CCIP 2.0 also includes the Automated Compliance Engine (ACE), which automates reconciliation across different blockchain networks, streamlining compliance for regulated entities.

The integration with the Swift Ledger enables 24/7 tokenized payment workflows for banks without requiring them to overhaul their existing technology stacks.
