Chainlink has launched its CCIP (Customizable Permissions) 2.0 upgrade, introducing custom verifiers and faster transfers for users.

The update allows for more flexibility in token-pool controls, but requires an opt-in contract upgrade for existing integrations to work with new features.

Existing integrations will continue to function as usual with full-finality defaults, giving users the option to upgrade their contracts if they choose to use the new features.
