Chainlink Whale Activity Surges to Five-Month High
Chainlink whale activity has reached its highest level in five months according to Santiment's on-chain analytics. The firm reported that 246 separate LINK transfers worth at least $100,000 were processed on the Chainlink network over the last 24 hours.
This significant surge in large transactions is historically linked to price runs, and Santiment has interpreted this signal as bullish for Chainlink holders. The token's price was trading at $8.80 as of the report, up 1.69% on the day and largely flat over the past year.
Standard Chartered is also bullish on Chainlink, predicting a $200 target by the end of 2030 with near-term targets of $13 in 2026 and $41 in 2027. The bank's analysis suggests that Chainlink could become an anchor for financial assets being onboarded to public blockchains, driving growth in the tokenized asset market.
Despite its price lag, Chainlink remains popular due to its growing utility. The token has been integrated into various infrastructure expansions, including Project Pangea with 47 South Korean and European banks to settle foreign exchange trades in near real-time.
