Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 Boosts Token Price Amid Institutional Adoption Push
Chainlink's LINK token surged 6% after the launch of its Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0, outperforming a weaker crypto market. The upgrade gives financial institutions more control over transactions that move data or assets between blockchains.
The CCIP 2.0 platform adds institution-operated verifiers to Chainlink's default verification network, allowing users to choose how a transaction is checked and completed. This includes configurable compliance controls, fees, and execution options.
Chainlink also says it is working to support Ethereum's Fast Confirmation Rule when that feature launches. The CCIP 2.0 launch saw a significant increase in LINK trading volume, with an 89% jump reported.
However, the token encountered selling pressure near $15, which is identified as immediate resistance by daily-chart analysis. A bearish divergence in the relative strength index also suggests that a pause or pullback may be on the horizon.
