Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 Upgrade and Remittix's PayFi Service: A New Era for Cross-Border Payments
Chainlink's infrastructure story has taken a significant leap forward with the launch of its CCIP 2.0 upgrade. This upgrade enables banks and asset issuers to distribute tokenized assets across chains, and Chainlink has also been working with Swift to connect financial institutions to a blockchain ledger. This development gives LINK a substantial infrastructure story as traditional finance tests how on-chain systems might fit into existing operations.
Meanwhile, Remittix is approaching the same payments shift from the customer's side. Its first 1,000 PayFi testers are trying a service intended to send supported crypto and deliver fiat through compatible bank accounts. The RTX debut is scheduled for November 24, leaving a defined period in which users can evaluate the payment flow.
Chainlink can help institutions connect their systems; Remittix wants the person paying an overseas invoice to feel that those connections have finally made crypto easy to use. If Remittix can capture a sliver of repeat payments and introduce those customers to its combined ecosystem, it could expand far beyond its initial test group.
