Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 Upgrade Catalyst Fades as Resistance Takes Hold
Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 upgrade has addressed cross-chain weaknesses exposed by recent attacks, including the $292 million LayerZero-based bridge exploit in April.
The new Cross-Chain Verifier (CCV) allows issuers to add an extra layer of approval for each transfer, alongside Chainlink's default committee of 16 node operators. Additionally, the Automated Compliance Engine now enforces KYC rules, sanctions checks, and transfer limits before funds move between chains.
The upgrade has given LINK a strong catalyst, but the chart still needs to confirm the move. A weekly close above $15 would be significant, turning resistance into potential support and opening the way toward the 0.5 Fibonacci level near $17.43, roughly 15% above current prices.
