Chainlink's CCIP 2.0 Upgrade Sparks 10% Price Jump
Chainlink's price has seen a significant jump following the launch of its upgraded cross-blockchain messaging protocol, CCIP 2.0. According to data from various sources, LINK has risen by over 10% in a single day, reaching $14.44. This is not an isolated incident, as the token has climbed more than 30% over the past month.
One of the key drivers behind this surge is the increased adoption of Chainlink's technology. The CCIP 2.0 upgrade added new security features to the protocol, making it a more attractive option for asset tokenization. This sector has seen significant growth in recent times, and Chainlink has positioned itself as a leading infrastructure provider.
Looking at the technical levels, LINK has held above $14 support since retreating from its late-September peak. However, some analysts believe that the price may test the rising trendline support around $12.70 to $13.00 before finding a bounce. If this trendline holds, LINK could recover towards $14.00 to $14.50, followed by a retest of the recent high near $15.50.
Despite the price jump, Chainlink's derivatives market saw trading volume fall 21.53%. However, open interest rose 0.08% to $771.91 million, showing outstanding contract exposure stayed largely flat.
