Chainlink's Meteoric Rise Fails to Close Gap with XRP
Chainlink (LINK) has seen its price surge by nearly 100% in recent months, rising from $7 to around $13. This rapid growth has investors wondering if it's possible for Chainlink to eventually overtake XRP and take the fifth spot in market capitalization.
The current market capitalization of Chainlink is around $9.45 billion, while XRP holds a commanding lead with a valuation of approximately $86.91 billion. To close this gap, LINK would need to increase its market cap by roughly 820% and reach a price point of about $116 per token.
However, analyst Ali Martinez has identified three warning signals that could indicate Chainlink's rally is losing momentum. These include a weekly sell signal from the TD Sequential indicator, a decline in whale activity, and an increase in exchange balances.
Despite this potential cooldown, Martinez sees XRP forming a descending triangle on its hourly chart, with a potential breakout above $1.40 that could push it towards $1.46.
