ChatGPT Forecasts Bitcoin to Hit 97,000 by Halloween 2026
ChatGPT, the advanced AI model from OpenAI, has projected that Bitcoin (BTC) will likely end October 2026 at a higher price than its current value of $85,962 as of October 5. The AI cited several bullish indicators, including improving spot ETF demand, strong recovery from June lows, institutional accumulation, and Bitcoin breaking above key cost bases that previously constrained its growth.
However, ChatGPT also noted economic challenges that could limit potential rallies by Halloween 2026. These include recent interest rate hikes, bond market instability, and elevated oil prices. The AI described Bitcoin's early October state as 'a major recovery inside a damaged cycle,' distinguishing it from the explosive rally seen in late 2025.
Despite these constraints, ChatGPT estimated that Bitcoin's most likely price on Halloween 2026 would be $97,000, representing a 12.84% increase from its current price. This forecast aligns with historical October performance, where Bitcoin has seen strong gains in previous years, such as a nearly 10% rally in October 2022 and a 30% rise in October 2023.
The AI's assessment is supported by other analyses, including the Bitcoin Rainbow Chart, which suggests the cryptocurrency remains undervalued even at potential new all-time highs. Major banking institutions like Citi have also turned optimistic, with Citi increasing its 12-month Bitcoin price target from $83,000 to $113,000 on September 30.
