China's $52 Billion Injection Fails to Boost Bitcoin Amid Ongoing Liquidity Support
China's central bank injected $52 billion into its banking system through overnight reverse repos on August 14, aiming to maintain liquidity in the market despite steady interest rates.
The move, which is part of China's ongoing efforts to support its economy, did not seem to have a significant impact on Bitcoin prices, as the cryptocurrency fell by 1.7% to around $62,605.
This pattern has been observed before, with similar injections in June also resulting in a decline in Bitcoin prices.
The People's Bank of China has scheduled three more injection days, capped at about $88 billion each, which may signal ongoing liquidity support without rate cuts.
