Cipher Digital Secures Conditional Grid Status for 3.2 GW Texas Projects

Cipher Digital has gained conditional 3.2 GW Texas grid status as part of its shift toward artificial-intelligence infrastructure.

The company's update comes after a September 16 announcement that it had been classified under ERCOT's Batch Zero process, covering a total of 1.1 GW of Conditional Base Load and 2.1 GW of Conditional Studied Load.

This move reflects the changing commercial narrative around former and current Bitcoin miners, which are increasingly being evaluated as data-center developers capable of serving AI and high-performance-computing workloads.
