Circle Brings Stablecoins to Nu's 140M-Customer International Payments Push
Nu Global has partnered with Circle to bring its USDC and EURC stablecoins to over 140 million customers worldwide. This integration will enable users to hold and move dollar- and euro-denominated balances through Nu's international payments service, which supports multi-currency accounts in more than 35 countries.
The partnership aims to make cross-border transfers faster and easier for Nu customers. USDC balances earn a 3.50% APY, while EURC balances earn 2.20%. Customers can send and receive money across over 35 countries through the service.
The rollout will initially cover Europe and Latin America, with future integrations planned in Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the U.S. Nu Global will also offer a virtual Mastercard for international spending and allow customers to hold and trade selected cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum.
