Circle Brings USDC, EURC Stablecoins to Nu Global's 140M Customer Base
Circle has partnered with Nu Global to bring its USDC and EURC stablecoins to over 140 million customers. This move will enable users to hold and transfer dollars and euros through stablecoins, making cross-border transactions faster and easier.
Nu Global's multi-currency account is now integrated with Circle's stablecoins, allowing users in more than 35 countries to convert deposits into USDC or EURC and hold balances in dollars or euros. The service will initially cover Europe and Latin America, with expansions planned for Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, and the U.S.
The partnership also offers a virtual Mastercard for international spending and allows customers to hold and trade selected cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. USDC balances earn 3.50% APY, while EURC balances earn 2.20%, according to Nu. The integration aims to make cross-border transfers more efficient with stablecoin infrastructure.
