Circle Executives Exit Amid Broader Crypto Leadership Shift
Circle Internet Group Inc. (NYSE: CRCL) has announced that its CFO Jeremy Fox-Geen and co-founder Sean Neville will step down from their roles.
Fox-Geen, who has been in the position for over five years, will remain as CFO until December 31st or earlier if a successor is named. He played key roles in Circle's growth and success, including its $1.2 billion IPO last year.
Neville, a co-founder and board member since 2016, has stepped down from the board with immediate effect. The company's CEO Jeremy Allaire thanked Neville for his 'extraordinary service' and credited him with helping shape Circle behind the world's second-largest stablecoin, USDC (CRYPTO: USDC).
The departures are part of a broader pattern of senior exits in leading cryptocurrency companies. Circle shares closed 4.30% lower at $89 on Friday and were down 2.45% overnight.
