Circle Expands CCTP Beyond USDC with EURC and cirBTC Support

Circle has expanded its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to include native EURC and cirBTC transfers across Arc routes.

The update extends CCTP's capabilities beyond USDC, which was initially supported by the protocol. EURC is now enabled for transfer on Arc, Avalanche, Base, Ethereum, and World Chain routes, while cirBTC supports transfers between Arc and Ethereum.

Circle notes that while Gateway currently only supports USDC balances on Arc and Ethereum, plans are in place to expand its support to EURC and cirBTC. However, the exact launch date for these assets has not been disclosed.
