Circle Internet Group Stock Rockets 9.65% on Bitcoin Breakout and Regulatory Wins
Circle Internet Group stock jumped 9.65% to close at $95.55 on Monday, August 31, as Bitcoin cleared $71,000 and Circle picked up an OCC national trust charter approval the same week.
While the move was partly driven by the cryptocurrency's breakout, the rally wasn't solely due to borrowed momentum from crypto markets. Circle also secured two key regulatory wins: the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency approved Circle National Trust, and New York State granted its own trust charter approval.
These developments give Circle a firmer institutional footing to custody the reserves backing its USDC stablecoin, which is now within the GENIUS Act's regulatory framework. Analysts are also pricing in forward momentum from the company's Arc public Mainnet launch on September 16 and a completed Arc token pre-sale worth $242 million with associated revenue guided for the back half of the year.
TIKR's mid-case model values Circle Internet Group stock at $288 by December 2030, implying 201% total return from the current price of $96, or 29% annualized over the next 4.3 years.
