Circle Internet Stock Soars 6.5% as Analysts See Bullish Catalysts
Circle Internet's stock surged 6.5% in morning trading, reaching $90.64, as a bullish analyst note and a sweeping SEC regulatory development converged to reignite investor confidence.
The TD Cowen analyst Bryan Bergin raised his price target on the shares to $92 from $87 while maintaining a Buy rating, citing three interlocking catalysts: the Arc blockchain mainnet launch, the Federal Reserve's 25-basis-point interest rate hike to a range of 3.75%, 4.00%, and the Senate's failure to advance the CLARITY Act.
Bergin argued that the Fed hike directly boosts Circle's near-term financials, since the company earns income on the Treasury and cash assets backing its stablecoin, meaning higher short-term rates translate into higher reserve revenue.
The TD Cowen upgrade also served as a signal to the market that the recent selloff, triggered by the CLARITY Act's failure to clear a procedural Senate vote and an earlier earnings miss, had been overdone. Bergin noted that agency-led regulatory progress and institutional stablecoin adoption remain intact even without the preferred legislative path, and that Arc represents a meaningful avenue for Circle to diversify revenue beyond its core reserve-income model.
