Circle's Agent Stack made its debut at UC Berkeley's Agentic AI Summit, where the company pitched USDC as the default currency for a world where AI agents buy and sell without human intervention.

The toolkit, launched on May 11, provides developers with infrastructure to build autonomous AI systems with programmable USDC wallets. It includes three core components: Agent Wallets, Agent Marketplace, and Circle Gateway, which handles settlement at the nanopayment level of $0.000001.

Nikhil Chandhok, Circle's Chief Product and Technology Officer, spoke about building infrastructure for the 'Agentic Economy', a concept that drew over 5,000 attendees to the summit.
