Circle Reveals Arc Validator Lineup Ahead of Mainnet Launch

Share

Circle has named BlackRock, Mastercard, and Visa as initial validators for its proprietary blockchain network, Arc, ahead of the September 16 mainnet launch.

The announcement lists prominent financial institutions, including DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, Sumitomo Corporation, and Visa, which will help validate transactions and secure the network.

Arc is designed to serve as a dedicated settlement layer for high-value institutional transactions, leveraging Circle's existing stablecoin infrastructure. Unlike public, permissionless blockchains, Arc operates as a permissioned network, allowing participating institutions to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements while benefiting from blockchain efficiency.
