Circle Sees Record Growth in USDC Circulation as Arc Mainnet Launch Nears
Circle's stablecoin USDC has seen significant growth in circulation, according to the company's latest report. For the second quarter of 2026, USDC circulation reached $73.3 billion, a 19% increase from the same period last year. This increase is not isolated, as on-chain transaction volume for USDC also rose substantially, reaching $14.8 trillion - a staggering 151% jump compared to the previous year.
The financial performance of Circle itself has also shown positive trends, with revenue and reserve income totaling $701 million in the quarter, up 7% from the prior year. Adjusted EBITDA for the company was $143 million, representing an 8% increase from a year earlier.
Ahead of its public rollout, more than 100 ecosystem and institutional builders are participating in Circle's Arc ecosystem. The company has set September 16 as the launch date for Arc's mainnet, which will support key features such as privacy, programmable finance, and tokenized RWAs.
