Circle Shakes Off Earnings Miss With Bullish Outlook for Non-USDC Revenue

Circle's Q2 earnings report missed Wall Street expectations on both earnings per share and revenue. Despite this, the company raised its full-year guidance for 'other revenue' to between $310 million and $330 million, nearly doubling its previous forecast.

The category of 'other revenue' includes sources outside the reserve income generated by USDC, such as payments infrastructure and tokenization services. Circle's CEO Jeremy Allaire emphasized that the company's strategy extends well beyond issuing stablecoins, stating that they have built a platform for the 'internet financial system.'

Retail traders on Stocktwits showed improved sentiment around CRCL shares after the report, with chatter rising to 'high' levels and a nearly 50% jump in message volume. However, some users expressed confusion over the muted movement of Circle's stock.
