Circle Stock Plummets Over 70% from All-Time High Amid Disappointing Q2 Results
Circle Internet Group's stock price has plummeted more than 70% from its all-time high of $299, reached in June 2025. The company's most recent quarterly financial results were disappointing, leading to a decline in share value.
Despite this setback, Circle's growth prospects look attractive, given the expanding stablecoin market. In Q2 2026, the company beat its consensus earnings estimate but missed on revenue, causing shares to sell off.
The launch of Open USD, an upcoming stablecoin designed to take market share from USDC, added to investors' concerns about Circle's growth going forward.
However, Circle still has a robust growth story ahead, driven by strong growth in USDC on-chain transaction volume and the amount of USDC in circulation, which is up 19% from last year. The company also has a new growth narrative developing around its Arc blockchain network.
